It’s been a bit. Let’s catch up.
“I just don't understand
How my passion for the thing that raised me up as a child
Turned into my greatest fear and how I don't even smile
When something good comes crashing into me, it's like I can't breathe
'Cause all I think about is when that good thing finally leaves”
-Tiffany Day
I’ve been… good, I think? Busy. Busy for sure. But good.
I’ve been working a lot, and my current job (which I recently was offered a full time position with) is the night shift, so the mornings have been days and the evenings have been years. It’s been hard. I still don’t have adulting down, and my work schedule makes most extracurriculars difficult. I can’t practice with my rugby team, which is not ideal. I’m learning more about myself and my relationship. I’m navigating making art in a world that is not changing for the better.
So, some good news:
I Started Wrestling
Yeah, yeah. For real. The classes are at the right time on weekends and I think— I hope— that they’ll give me a stronger sense of movement and technicality while playing rugby or whatever else I am able to do.
But the first practice with Horsetooth Hybrid Grappling Club was… fun? Super super fun. Almost absurdly fun. Which I resent. But I’m happy to be there, to meet new people, and learn something new.
I Won an Award
Kind of.
At Baltimore Webfest 2026, I was awarded for the music I chose and edited into place for my favorite Hurtniverse episode of all time, Turtletastic 2x05 “You’re Not Special”. I got to see this episode and the Season 2 finale on the big screen through this festival— shout out to Elena and her team for a great time.
It wasn’t an award I expected, but as I’ve sat with it, I’ve come to appreciate it as a reflection of an aspect of an episode I’m especially proud of. Not too shabby.
In other Hurtniverse news, Turtletastic’s spinoff Quill in the Big City has finished filming and we’re actively recording The Cellar’s second season. I had announced a Turtletastic Season 3, but plans have changed a fair amount. More on that soon!
‘The Clubhouse’ Marches On

Budget has been tight in life and in the film world, so The Clubhouse is in a bit of a holding pattern until we secure the funds to complete it. If you all are so inclined, please consider tossing a share or a few bucks at this link:
In Summation…
I’m really trying to make positive change in how I see the world. I recently completely moved around my room to give me a fresh start and more room, and the job promotion and wrestling start have helped with that.
Unfortunately, I am still struggling with The Clubhouse’s completion. But we’ll get there. No matter what.
I have a lot of things to be grateful for and I’m especially grateful for any of you who have taken the time to read this post.
Much love,
Craig
