After 4 years, five series, and about 59 episodes across platforms, my multimedia project the Hurtniverse has come to an end.
This decision came down to a variety of factors, notably a shift in my circumstances that made it obvious that budgetless, profitless filmmaking was no longer feasible for me. It was a very hard decision, but trying to push things though solo, rarely with consistent help or resources, was decimating my already fragile mental health.
So, yeah. It’s over.
The good news is that the end of the Hurtniverse imprint is giving me space to return to the original imprints I still have not been able to market to the extent I desired— most notably the SKYBREAKERS imprint that started with THE VALLEY CHRONICLES trilogy.
I’m still figuring out how to get people invested in that world again. My first priority is telling the story and reaching people, and my second priority will be finding a way to get some kind of return for it.
